Stink Bug Pest Control Service
What Our Stink Bug Pest Control Service Includes
Stink Bug Inspections
During our stink bug inspection, we’ll check all common and unexpected entry and hiding points where stink bugs tend to gather. This includes around windows and doors, attic spaces, siding gaps, soffits, vents, and sheltered areas like under eaves or behind shutters. If they’re around—or trying to get in—we’ll find them.
Stink Bug Removal
Our stink bug treatment is designed to target both active bugs and the hidden areas where they tend to gather. Whether they’re crawling along your walls or hiding in cracks and crevices, our treatment penetrates key entry points and harboring zones to eliminate them effectively, helping keep your home free from these intruders.
Stink Bug Prevention
As part of our stink bug prevention service, we work to seal off entry points and treat common access areas to keep these pests from invading your home. While we can’t stop stink bugs from approaching, we can make sure they don’t get comfortable—keeping their visits short and your space protected.
Common Signs You Have a Stink Bug Problem
Stink Bugs Present Inside Your Home
We’ll start with the most obvious – finding stink bugs crawling on walls, windows, or ceilings, especially in numbers greater than just 1 or two, is a major red flag. They often slip inside through cracks to find warm spaces and become more even more active. If you’re spotting them regularly indoors, there’s likely a larger group hiding out somewhere nearby, whether inside or out. Not to worry though, at Fenix, we check all the nooks and crannies for stink bugs and other pests, laying down a protective shield that stops them in their tracks.
Constant, Lingering Unpleasant Odor
As their name suggests, stink bugs release a strong, unpleasant odor when threatened, squashed, or disturbed. If you catch a whiff of something musty, pungent, or similar to coriander and can’t pinpoint the source, stink bugs could be to blame, especially if the smell lingers near windows, baseboards, or light fixtures. Unfortunately for most of us, stink bugs are notorious for getting in places where they aren’t wanted and can easily get squished, so best be on the lookout.
Stink Bugs Gathering on Sunny Exterior Walls
Many bugs do this, and stink bugs are no different. But in spring, and more so summer and late fall, stink bugs will often congregate in large numbers on sunny exterior walls of buildings as they search for a warm palce to enter. If you see them clustering whatsoever on siding, windows or near vents and other potential entry points, it’s more than likely a few will end up inside.
Damage to Plants or Garden Produce
Outdoors, stink bugs feed on fruits, vegetables, and other ornamental plants. Their feeding leaves behind discolored spots, sunken areas and deformed produce. If you notice this kind of damage in your garden or yard, especially on tomatoes, peppers, or apples – there may be more stink bugs than you realize. If you have any concern, call us out and we’ll be happy to take a look.
