Quick Bed Bug Pest Control Tips
Bed Bugs are notorious for attaching themselves to clothes or luggage and piggy backing on them right into the home. Because of this, it’s generally recommended to immediately wash your clothes after you’ve stayed somewhere other than your own home for an extended period. While bed bugs aren’t guaranteed to perish in the wash, the dryer will most certainly do them in.
If you already know you have a piece(s) of furniture with bed bugs crawling within, try to seal off the furniture entirely as best you can. This will starve them of additional resources, prevent them from spreading further and allow you to heat your furniture, usually with a hair dryer for 30 seconds on each spot, to try and kill any on or in your furniture. Afterward use a vacuum to pick up any remaining bed bugs and immediately dispose of them.
While these tips can help small problems, DIY approaches rarely work at fixing the problem entirely. We offer free pest inspections for any home or business, give us a call and we’ll come right out, free of charge if we find nothing, but if we do, we’ll be able to help right away, so don’t delay, give your local Fenix Pest Control, Inc. branch a call today.
